This is the first book of 4 Gajah mada book series.
The story is took place in Majapahit era, as the tittle state it was the story of the famous Patih Gajahmada of Kerajaan Majapahit. It took me awhile to start reading it though, mostly because the thickness of the book and I'm afraid because of the tittle so the story might be boring.
But as I start reading it, I can't put down the book and start right away to read the second book as I finished the first.

I've always been fond of the tales from the great kingdom of Majapahit. Those history lessons about Indonesia's ancient kingdoms were always awesome.
So when I found out about this not-so-fictional story about the great Patih himself I nearly whooped in joy at the bookstore.
I've read this long ago, around 16-17? I forgot, but the impression still stand: this book is great. Perhaps I'm going to read this book again this upcoming holiday so I can give proper review.

First time I bought this book is just because I love history and I think Gajah Mada is the very great person in Indonesian history.
It turns out that Pak Kresna had quite unique storyteling. I think it had deep historical knowledge and details, especially the names. However, i think the plot is too slow. I had bought three of the series, and haven't think to complete the collection.

The 1st book of Pentalogy. The story reminds me to behind of Indonesia Tragedy in 1998. Some greedy people who had ambition to take power forcibly.. and make suffer to the other innocent people.
When i started to read this book i would not stop til finished! Thanks to Langit Kresna Hariadi for describing details scene illustration about Majapahit in the past...

This book brought me not only to the first chapter of the Majapahit, long before it reached its triumph, but also the beginning of Gajah Mada's political rules in Majapahit. This is a worth reading novel, especially for those who are interested in learning Javanese history.

Great fiction history of Majapahit and Gajah Mada. The plot were clear, and will bring you back to majapahit era. Author will says name of the people completely every time they appear, no wonder if you getting known all complete name .

Considering the hype, it was not as good as I expected. I would like to read the whole story (I've been a fan of culture/history-infused stories), but this one's story telling is too 'bertele-tele', oftentimes redundant, I got lost many times (in sleep).

I just know that history won't be so boring by this book
got me really curious on which part are fact and which part are fiction..regret i didn't pay attention on this subject while in high school.. =(
